Ralph Preall

Ralph Preall was born in Long Beach on January 21, 1945 to Ralph and Lorraine Preall. He passed away at home with his wife and son on March 14, 2018.

He attended several elementary schools and graduated from Huntington Beach High School in 1962. During the Vietnam Conflict he served in the navy. In 1968 he married his wife of almost 50 years, Jeanne. They raised three sons, Anthony, Jeremy, and Andrew.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Anthony, and grandson, Jackson. His surviving family include; his wife, Jeanne; sons; Jeremy and Andy; daughters-in-law, Amy and Christine; six grandchildren, Zoe, Spencer, Nicholas, Matthew, Greyston, and Beckett. He is also survived by his only sibling, Avis Ryan and her two children, Debra Auker and Michael Ryan and their three children.

After graduating from Long Beach State University, Ralph taught drafting and science for 32 years at Santiago High School in Garden Grove, CA. He liked to build things, play golf, coach baseball and football, go camping and drive his dune buggy and relax with his family. After retiring and moving to Springville, he joined the River Island Country Club and the Springville Mountain lions. He also loved to play poker with his Tuesday Night Group. He enjoyed visiting with his extended family of many cousins and nephews and nieces.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Myers Chapel; The service will be followed by lunch at River Island at 1:00 PM.
