Juanita Mae “Neetsie” Fox
Juanita passed away on March 15, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving husband Ray, close friends and long time caregivers. She was born to Tomas Alford Sanders and Pearl Elizabeth Buzby in Duncan, Oklahoma on April 10, 1925. Juanita is proceeded in death by daughter Neta Jo Pettis and sisters Mildred Hartley, Wilma Coldwell, Ruby Halburt and Loreen Vandergrift, and brother Johnny Sanders.
Juanita is survived by her husband Ray Fox, granddaughter Melinda (kent) Davis of Porterville, brother OB Sanders of Lindsay (sons Rusty and Ronnie Sanders) and nephew Tim Sanders (Chery) of Riverside (sons Timmy and Tommy Sanders and daughter Barbara Sanders).
As a young girl, Juanita worked at the Soda Shop in Porterville where she met the love of her life, Ray, who was known to be a frequent customer, and also worked at the Smith’s Bakery in Porterville also the AG Processing on the assembly line for Lindsay Olive. After Ray and Juanita were married she worked side by side with Ray at Ray Fox Construction and carpentry business. Juanita also managed their many rental properties.
Juanita enjoyed sewing, quilting, needle point, bowling, oil painting; country-western dancing; antiquing and wood working. She especially loved being part of the Visalia Charter Oaks A’s Model A Club, which Ray had founded. When she wasn’t helping Ray restore their model A’s they enjoyed traveling with the club as far away as Canada and participating in parades and socializing with their many club friends.
There will be a Private family viewing from 10:00am-10:30am on Monday April 2, 2018, Public viewing will be from 9:00-10:00am at Porterville Funeral and Cremation Center 765 W. Henderson Ave. Graveside service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery Monday April 2, 2018 at 11:00am.
