Robert Lewis Holtermann

Robert Holtermann, beloved brother, husband, father & grandfather went peacefully from his earthly home to his heavenly home Friday, March 16, 2018 among family. “Grandpa” as he was lovingly known will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all he touched in his brief 73 years. Among those missing him will be his loving wife of 52 years Sandra, his brother Harold & wife Unice, sons Kevin & his wife Leeanna, Eric & his wife Carrie, his 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and all the nieces, nephews & other family and friends to expansive to mention. Grandpa is preceded in death by his parents Leola & Harold Holtermann, sister Joyce Dotson, brother James Holtermann, son Darrin Holtermann and granddaughter Moriah Holtermann.

Born in Porterville on September 29, 1944, he was raised in Strathmore and after graduating from Strathmore High school in 1962 served in the Marine Core until 1967 when he married the love of his life Sandra and eventually settled down back in Strathmore where he built their home and raised his family. Grandpa worked at Champion Homes until his retirement in 2007. Grandpa loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandkids taking them for long walks in the olive grove, swimming, backpacking & gardening among other things.

For all who knew & loved him, there will be a grave side service held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11am at the Lindsay/strathmore Cemetery, 639 South Foothill Ave., Lindsay Ca., 93247.
