Adopted a resolution approving the use of the Capital Construction/improvement designated fund for the acquisition of APN 261-122007.
Gave authorization to use NPPGOV contracts to acquire materials needed to equip the new Type 1 Fire Engine.
Awarded contracts to D. Garrison Roofing Company of Tulare in the amount of $14,555 and Zone Air Conditioning of Porterville in the amount of $27,100 for completion of the re-roof and replacement of the HVAC unit at Fire Station No. 2.
Awarded a construction contract in the amount of $1.340 million to Floyd Johnston Construction for the installation of new sewer infrastructure in Annexation Areas 456A, 456B, and 456C.
Gave authorization to distribute a Request for Proposals for the development of affordable housing to be located at 87 S. G St.
Gave authorization to negotiate a contract for architectural design and construction assistance services for the animal shelter facility to be located at 185 N. D St.
Gave approval of a funding agreement with DWR for the connection of properties within city limits that are currently participating in the county’s Household Tank Program; and gave authorization to negotiate contracts with Self Help Enterprises and Community Services and Employment Training, Inc. for work to be done on private properties.
Gave approval of the FY 2018/19 SB1 project list and resolution for the use of RMRA funds.
Gave authorization of out-ofstate travel by two City of Porterville Fire Department personnel to the Rosenbauer America Factory located in South Dakota for the final inspection of the Type 1 fire engine purchased by the city and to drive the engine back to Porterville.
Approved Porterville Exchange Club’s Champions for the Prevention of Child Abuse event to begin at Zalud Park and continue on the Rails to Trails Parkway to North Grand Avenue and return back to Zalud Park. The event will run from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19.
Approved Tulare County Jr. Livestock Show and Community Fair to take place on the City of Porterville’s 10-acre site next to the fairgrounds during the annual fair from Wednesday, May 9, to Sunday, May 13.
Approved the continuance of the Declaration of Local Emergency.
Adopted a draft resolution approving the 2018/2019 action plan with program models, and proposed use of Community Development Block Grant Funds and directed staff to submit the 2018/2019 Action Plan to HUD.
Successor Agency To The Porterville Redevelopment Agency
Approved the transfer of the Villa Siena commercial parcel from TPC Commercial, LLC to Rural Ag Insurance Services, LLC, for the establishment and operation of a professional office space.
