Stereo reported stolen from car

Tulare County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Wednesday morning to a residence in the 600 block of Road 210, Richgrove in regards to a burglary.

The reporting party advised his vehicle was broken into sometime overnight and his stereo was stolen. He valued the loss at $280 dollars. The suspect remains outstandin­g.

Man arrested following search

An Earlimart man is in custody after deputies seized four pounds of drugs, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The TCSO Gang and Narcotics Enforcemen­t Team (TAGNET) completed a several week investigat­ion regarding the sales of narcotics in the community of Earlimart. A search warrant was served in the 600 block of north Market Street on Wednesday.

As a result of the search warrant, detectives located and seized just over a pound of methamphet­amines and cocaine, along with three pounds of processed marijuana and packaging materials. The suspect, who is a prior convicted felon, was in illegal possession of two firearms which were also seized.

Detectives arrested Armando Mendez Jr., 27, of Earlimart. He was booked into the Adult Pre-trial Facility on suspicion of possession of narcots for sale and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. His bail is set at $250,000.
