The So Cal Juniors Girls Volleyball Club has expanded to 12U and is in need of players to fill a couple of roster spots. Socal Juniors give players the chance to grow their volleyball skill set. For more information, call Coach Job Lara at (562) 413-3444.
Registration for the City of Porterville Youth Baseball League is currently underway. Increase your child’s health and wellness by keeping them physically active. We welcome all skill levels and develop fundamentals, character and sportsmanship. The goal is to foster a positive, pressure free environment. It’s the perfect fit for your child to truly enjoy the sport and want to return the following season. The league is designed for boys and girls ages 4-13 with a cost of $58. Practices will start in April with games beginning the first week in May. Register online or in person at the Heritage Center, and hurry — spots fill up quickly! City of Porterville youth volleyball league also begins registration on May 1. The goal of this league, and all of our youth sports programs, is to develop fundamentals, character and sportsmanship and foster a positive, pressure-free environment without putting too much stress on the outcome of the game. It is designed for fourth-eighth graders. Practices will take place on weekdays beginning in June with games played on Saturdays starting in July. The cost of the league is $46. Save some time and register online or visit the Heritage Center. Space is limited and volunteer coaches are always needed.
The Junior Giants, a flagship program of the San Francisco Giants Community Fund, is a free, noncompetitive baseball league for boys and girls ages 5-13. The Junior Giants use baseball as a forum to encourage young people and their families to live healthy productive lives. To get your child involved, register online at gojrgiants.org starting at 9 a.m. on May 7. Space is limited for this incredible program so early registration is advised. Registration includes a uniform t-shirt and hat, six games, plus other incentives. Practices begin in June and games are played in July at the Porterville Sports Complex.
