A private Celebratio­n of Life will be held Friday June 8, 2018 in Visalia for William Ronald Vogt. At 80 years old he was a seven-year survivor of Pancreatic Cancer. He passed away at his home on Sunday May 27, 2018.

William “Bill” Vogt was born 07 May 1938 in Denison Iowa USA, first child of Arthur William Vogt (1909-1982) and Mildred Verna Olson (1912-2006).

His family came West in 1941. They lived a brief time in Oregon then moved to Central California where he was educated elementary through grade nine. He and classmates were the last class of ninth graders at Fresno High School Cadet Corps at Fresno High School. The following year the program changed to Junior High School grade level 7 through 9. He graduated from Redlands High School in 1956.

He worked for the Sequoia National Forest Fire Suppressio­n in summer of 1959 & 1960. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from California State University, Fresno in 1961. Bill served in the United States Navy & Navy Reserves and was Honorably Discharged in August 1967.

Bill worked in the Real Estate industry in the early 1970’s. Deciding to return to agricultur­e Bill purchased Hit Systems Irrigation Company in Terra Bella. In 1982 he, and partner Paul Cordua started Hit Products Corporatio­n. Continuall­y manufactur­ing irrigation e, selling to numerous countries, and providing local jobs for families until his retirement this year. Hit Products will continue to provide for numerous families in the irrigation industry.

He leaves his wife of 31 years, Janice Vogt of Visalia; sons, William & (Devon) Vogt and Kevin Vogt, of Kingsburg; daughter Kristin & Charles Deatherage of Kingsburg; stepsons, Robert & Kristine Salomonson of Sanger; Eric & Kimberly Salomonson of Clovis, Brian & Cynthia Salomonson of Fresno; 14 grandchild­ren, 6 great grandchild, nieces & nephews and sister Karol Vogt of Los Osos California.
