Vera Lee Locke

Feb 12, 1921 - Jun 04, 2018 Vera Lee Locke, age 97 passed away on June 4, 2018 in Seattle, WA. Vera was born to William and Eather Powers in Russellville TX, in a train depot. She was the youngest of 3 girls. Jewell Fields and Mable Holcomb. Both of whom have preceded her in passing.

After attending business school Vera met and married Lenard Nathan Locke. Lenard and their first born son Randall also preceded her in passing.

Veras surviving children are Joyce Shultz of Boise, Idaho. Donald and Carol Locke of Seattle, WA and Lora Locke of Porterville.

Vera has 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and another on the way. She has numerous nieces and nephews and their families who thought she was a great women who made them feel loved.

While in Porterville Vera attended Glad Tidings Church. She graduated from PDC. Prior to PDC she worked for the Porterville Highway Patrol.

She retired to Seattle where she was able to immerse herself in her passion for baseball. She loved the Seattle Mariners.

A memorial service will be held In Porterville in September. Then she will be taken to Texas to be with her parents in a family plot. Vera was very proud of her Texas roots. She walked thru the lives of many people. All of whom were better off because of having met her.
