Deputies arrest man in stabbing on Saturday
A man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing a man Saturday night in Strathmore, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 19400 block of Wallace Road in Strathmore regarding a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival deputies located the victim who had sustained multiple stab and puncture wounds to the upper part of the body.
During the course of the investigation, Raul Figueroa, 23, was identified as the suspect. Figueroa was located a short time later in the area near the assault and was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation.
Figueroa was transported and booked on suspicion of attempted homicide at the Porterville Substation without incident.
