David Emanuel Bastady passed away on June 15, O018 in Visalia, CA at the age of 47. He was born on February O6, 1971 in Lindsay, CA. David lived in Portervill­e, CA his entire life. David was born with congenital adrenal hyperplasi­a and Ehlers-danlos syndrome, which was a medical challenge during his entire life. David attended Burton Elementary, Burton Middle School and graduated from Monache High School in 1990. He enjoyed art classes at Portervill­e College. David is survived by his parents, Shirley Esther and Donald Emanuel Bastady of Portervill­e. He leaves behind two sisters, Lisa Marie (Peppard) Burns and Sheri Lynn (Frank) Bastady-mariano, as well as a niece Mckenna Elizabeth Burns, and nephew Zachary Ernest Burns. David is preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Winnifred Frances and Clarence Edward Montgomery from Cherokee, IA, and Mary Helen and Ernest Emanuel Bastady of Exeter, CA. He enjoyed observing the daily seasonal operations for the family citrus ranches. He was very helpful and knowledgea­ble about spraying, irrigating, pruning, permits, and pack-outs. The highlight of his day would be riding to Exeter to view the orange groves and stopping for lunch on the way home. He was the problem solver for computer and electronic devices. Holidays, birthdays, and trips to Morro Bay, Iowa and South Dakota to visit family and friends were very important to David. He was always friendly, thoughtful of others and generous. A memorial service for David will be held on Friday, July 6, O018 at 10:00 am at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel at 4O5 N. Kaweah Ave in Exeter. In lieu of flowers, a contributi­on to David’s favorite charity would be the camp scholarshi­p fund at Calvary Baptist Church, 1768 N. Newcomb St. Portervill­e, CA 93O57.
