Raymond O. Castillo

Raymond O. Castillo was born on June 12, 1926 in Prescott Arizona. Raymond went to meet his heavenly Father on 7/18/2018 at the age of 92.

Ray was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific.

Ray was married to the love of his life, Mercy Ortiz Castillo for 71 years.

Ray is survived by two sons, Raymond Jr. (Marylou) and Richard (Polly), his sister Susana Castillo from Lincoln, California, his sister, Margaret Chavez from La Puente, CA., 3 grandchildren, Johnny, Sandra and Tina, and 3 great-grandchildren, Connor, Taylor, Sergio.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Catalina Orduno Castillo and Precilino R. Castillo,

1 sister, Elizabeth Carrasco from Porterville, and two brothers, Fernando Castillo from Cambria, CA., and Nacho Castillo from Lincoln, CA.

Raymond labored as a farm worker and then retired from the Porterville School District where he was a groundskeeper for many years.

After retirement Mercy and Ray bought a motor home and traveled. They loved to go Pismo Beach. One year they took the motor home and traveled throughout Canada. There many travels included trips to Hong Kong, Singapore, Hawaii and Mexico

Viewing is scheduled for Wedneday, July 25, 2018 at Myers Funeral Home from 3pm to 7pm, with a rosary at 6pm.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 26,2018 at 10 am at Woodville Cemetary with a grathering to follow immeditaley after services at the Porterville Veteran's Memorial Hall.
