Ronald Keith Phillips, 79, passed on peacefully in his home to our Lord and Savior, on July 27, 2018.

On August 22, 1938, Ron was the second of four children born to the late Leonard and Lorene Phillips, in Merced, California.

Soon his family moved to Redding, California and at the age of 10, the family moved to Portervill­e California where he lived until his passing.

Ronald was a 1956 graduate of Portervill­e High School, before proudly joining the United States Air Force, where he served until 1960.

Upon returning home, Ron began working at Portervill­e Developmen­tal Center where he started as a psychiatri­c technician and finished his career as a unit manager until his retirement in1998.

Ron always enjoyed Dr. Pepper and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was always a part of softball leagues, bowling leagues and enjoyed golfing later in life with his brother Bob.

Ron's faith in God and his family were what was most important to him.

Ron was married and is survived by his beloved and caring wife Pat Phillips of 29 years. He loved being a dad to his sons Keith Phillips, Randy and Rick Clem, and his daughters Shanda Phillips Baker, Tami Phillips Leyva and Ronda Clem Morris. It brought him so much joy to be “Papa” to his 7 grandsons Cody Clem, Sam Baker, Nick Clem, Devin Luis, Austin Walker, Jacob Leyva, Brayden Leyva, and his 7 granddaugh­ters Jenna Morris Duffin, Allison Clem, Matlyn Morris, Emma Baker, Olivia Leyva, Marley Leyva, Blake Phillips and his 1 great granddaugh­ter, Audrey Clem.

Papa Ron never missed an opportunit­y to support them in any and all of their activities in sports, school and life.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, his older sister Donna Olcott, his daughter in law Melissa, and grandson Casey.

He is survived by his wife, his brother Robert “Bob” Phillips and wife Carol, his brother Roger Phillips and wife Bethany, children and grandchild­ren above and a host of many family members including, son and daughter in laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Papa Ron will be remembered for his silly sayings, sense of humor and most importantl­y the love he gave to all of his family. Until we meet again...
