Celia Elva Hasty

Celia Elva Hasty 87 passed away on Monday, Aug. 13, 2018 in Visalia, CA.

Celia was born March 13, 1931 in Lonewolf, OK to Merrit and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Bean. She grew up in Granite, OK., and it was there where she married Emmitt Hasty on July 10, 1950. They were married for 53 years.

Their first two children, Jerry & Carol were born in OK. They soon moved to Porterville in 1955 where two more children Donnie & Debra were born. Celia was a homemaker and loved playing board games with her kids and later on grandkids.

Celia and Emmitt joined bowling leagues later in life and considered their teammates extended family.

All of us kids will always remember the vacation trips back to OK to visit friends and family.

Celia is survived by her sister Nina Atkinson of AZ. Son Jerry (Kathy) Hasty of VA. Daughter Carol (Russell) Mcfarland of Porterville; Granddaughter Jennifer (Mike) Godwin of Porterville. Three grandsons: Daniel Mcfarland, of North Pole, Alaska, Aaron (Amy) Davis of Lemore and Keith Hasty. One great grandson: Austin Davis. Three great granddaughters: Toni Bowen, Lorna Moore and Isabella Davis. One daughter- in- law: Pam Hasty.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Emmitt, one brother Imon Bean and son Donnie Hasty.

A Graveside service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
