Sharon Ruth Scruggs

Sharon Ruth Scruggs of Porterville, California went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2018 at the age of 72.

She was born in Pryor, Oklahoma to Elzie Arthur and Mary Edith (Odle) Morrison. The family moved to California in 1950.

Sharon was a resident of Tulare County for 68 years. She spent 30 years as a Senior Title Officer, retiring in 2006.

Sharon and her husband Norman spent 39 years together until his passing in 2017. They enjoyed traveling, doing jigsaw puzzles, gardening, having parties, and spending time with their family and many, many friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband Norman; sisters Janise Morrison, Eva Thompson, and Peggy Carson.

She is survived by her daughter Andrea (William) Phillips of Montana; son Jack (Judy) Scruggs of Terra Bella; daughter Vickie Scruggs of Porterville; son Marlin (Donna) of Porterville. She had 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew her and forever in our hearts.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Vandalia Cemetery, 565 East Scranton Ave Porterville, California. There will be a gathering immediately following at the Scruggs' Family Home.
