Frank Centino Burns
Frank Centino Burns was born on December 22, 1937 in Pasay City, Philippines to Frank Edward Burns and Apolinaria Centino.
He grew up in the Philippines, attending La Milagrosa Academy, a private catholic high school, and later acquired his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Feati University in 1967.
He married Emilia Catalan on July 23, 1964, and moved to Porterville in 1969, where he resided most of his life.
Early in his career, he worked as a mechanical engineer in Manila, Philippines. After moving to the United States, he had various jobs including working on the Trans America Pipeline System (TAPS) in Alaska in the 1970s and later finishing his career at the Friant Kern Water Authority, until his retirement in 2009.
Frank peacefully passed away at his home in Fresno, California on the evening of Friday, August 10, 2018.
He is survived by his beloved wife Emilia who he was married to for 54 years; 5 children, Peppard, Jason, Grace, Baltazar and Frank III; and 7 grandchildren.
There will be a viewing at Myers Chapel on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 4-7PM, with a Rosary service at 6PM .
A mass at St. Anne’s Church on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11AM, following with the burial at the St. Anne’s Cemetery. Any flowers and condolences can be sent under his name to Myers Chapel.
