Porterville Historical Museum monthly bus trip Tuesday

The Porterville Historical Museum is pleased to announce the monthly Bus trip to the Eagle Mountain Casino on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Each trip is packed with fun and games, along with free items.

Happy hour at Giovanni’s Pizzeria is from 5-6 p.m., with drinks priced at $1.00 each. A casino trip ticket is required in order to get the special drink price. The bus has two picks up locations, one at Giovanni’s Pizzeria located at 45 N. 2nd Street. The buses head up to the casino at 6 p.m. and feature games that are played on the bus to pass the time.

Comments on the casino trips from participants have been very positive. It has been described as one of the best casino bus trips offered by any group in the area. There are many repeat customers.

Cost for the casino trip is $10.00 per person and includes the bus trip, games on the bus, the museum only slot tournament, a food voucher, and $25 Summit Club Card credit to use for gambling. The trip lasts from 6-10 p.m. A valid identification card is needed if a person does not already have a Summit Club Card.

The customer can drive themselves up to the Casino but must sign in and have a ticket. If you are going to drive up to the Casino please be there by 7:30 p.m. or you cannot get the perks.

All proceeds are used to help support the Porterville Historical Museum and its continuing mission to preserve the past for future generations. The Museum is in the old Southern Pacific passenger depot that was built in 1913 and is located at 257 N. ‘D’ St. in Porterville. The Museum has been operating since 1965 and is dedicated to the collection, preservation, display, and teaching of local history.
