Lindsay City Council will hold a public ceremony Tuesday during their regularly scheduled meeting, during which City Clerk Bret Harmon will swear in three new public safety sergeants. The names of the sergeants-to-be have not been released.

After Mayor Kimball leads the pledge of Allegiance, Pastor Roger Wright from the New Life Lindsay Assembly of God will be giving an invocation for the meeting.

Public comment will be opened before the swear in ceremony and locals are encouraged to speak about any matters under the jurisdiction of the Council.

City Council members will give reports on any current or recent events, activities or matters.

Following Council reports, Lindsay High School’s student report will be given by Ireland Mccall. Mccall joined the Council for her first meeting two weeks ago and is excited to continue with the Council through the school year.

City staff will also give reports on any events, activities or matters pertaining to the city.

A small consent calendar will be up for potential approval. Only five items fill Tuesday night’s consent calendar, one of which is approval of a temporary use per-

mit request for Menudo and Pozole cook-off and car show.

Director of City Services, Mike Camarena, will update the Council on the current roundabout project

on Hermosa Street and Westwood Avenue.

There are no items on the agenda for executive session.

Other items on the consent calendar include:

Approval of City Council meeting minutes for August 28, 2018

Acceptance of the warrant list for September 4, 2018

Acceptance of the Treasurer's report for August 2018

Proclamation declaring September 17-23 as Constitution Week

The City Council will meet September 11 at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall located at 251 E. Honolulu Street.
