Sherry Lisa Mills

Sherry Lisa Mills, on Monday October 1, 2018, passed on to the next life at Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville, CA.

Sherry was born in San Pedro, CA lived in San Jose, CA but spent most of her young adult life in Sonora, CA.

Her love of horses led to dreams of becoming a veterinarian, but she chose to become a speech pathologist. She was a graduate of U.C. Davis and C.S.U. Stanislaus, earning respectively a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in speech pathology. Sherry worked and lived in Porterville, CA where she worked in the Porterville Uni- fied School District as a Speech Pathologist for 33 years. She loved children and animals (especially horses) and devoted her life to both.

Sherry is survived by her brothers: Glenn, Michael and Daniel, and her children: Elyssa, Emilia, and John as well as her global extended family from Porterville, CA to Japan.

Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-7 PM at Myers Funeral Home, 248 N. E. St, Porterville, CA. Funeral service is being held at St Anne's Parish, 378 N. F Street, Porterville, CA on October 5th at 11 AM with a celebration of life reception at 12:15 PM at Best Western, 350 W. Montgomery Ave,
