Edward E. Hall Jr.
Longtime Sierraville resident Edward E Hall Jr passed away October 5, 2018. Born December 9, 1932 in Porterville CA to Edward and Grace (Fisher) Hall. Ed grew up in the Woodville area before moving to Saugus CA at the age of ten. Ed and his family spent many years in the LA area until relocating to Sierraville “God’s Country” to raise his family. Ed was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, heavy equipment operator, and loved working in his shop and on his antique John Deere tractors. Although Ed had moved from the Porterville area his parents remained there and on several trips to visit them in Sierra View hospital he met Susan Callison a nurse that was taking care of them at different times. Ed and Susan after one phone call were smitten with each other and realized they wanted to spend the rest of their life together. They were soon married and built their life together spending time going on rides throughout the back country and enjoying travels together to New England, Utah, Washington Idaho and many other areas throughout California.
Ed is survived by his wife Susan of 28 years, sons Edward Hall III, Sparks,nv; Chuck Hall (Trinity), Chilcoot, CA and daughter Dixie (Bob) Higgins, Portola, CA step children Kathy (Mike) Smith, Porterville, CA; Margee (Ted) Fallert and Hugh (Shaunna) Callison Tulare, CA and Joel (Jeanette) Callison, Hanford, CA. He is also survived by two sisters Jeanette Baton of Lakewood, CA and Judy (David) Walizer from Auburn, CA and 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Floyd Hanson and brother-in-law Harry Baton. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Tahoe Forest Cancer Center and Hospice for their loving care.
