Stephanie Marie Cooley-landers

Stephanie Marie Cooley-landers, age 56 passed away on October 6, 2018 as a result of traumatic brain injuries she sustained as a victim of a pedestrian-auto accident on September 17, 2018.

Stephanie was born September 30, 1962 in Porterville, CA. The youngest of 3 Daughters, was born to her parents Aubrey & Dorothy Galbraith. She had re-married on August 7, 2018 to Tivis Lee Landers. They were newlyweds of just 8 weeks who were planning their new life together after recently re-kindling a romance from 35 years ago.

Stephanie attended Monache High School & College of the Sequoias/ Kings-tulare Police Academy. Stephanie was a person of service throughout her career. A former Police & Sheriff Officer, Stephanie served for the City of Porterville & Tulare County Sheriff. She was employed for the past 12 years by the County of Tulare Child Support Division as Child Support Specialist.

To say Stephanie was a person who could do anything, is an understatement. She had acquired a talent as a Baker & sold many bakery items during Holidays & for Special Events. She especially enjoyed making sugar cookies with children. She was hardworking & recently almost completed the remodel of her home to ready it for sale prior to moving to be with her Husband. Stephanie was a woman of pride & perfection in everything she did. She was a loving & devoted Mother, Grandmother & loved her Family & Pets. She was a woman with a strong faith in God.

Preceded in death was her Father, Aubrey Galbraith & Grandson, Benjamin Turner. She is survived by her Mother, Dorothy Aiken (Galbraith), Roy Aiken (Step Father); Husband, Tivis Lee Landers; Children, Trisha Turner (Paul Turner Sonin-law), Morgan Cooley, Nolan Cooley & Stephen Cooley (Cheyenne Cooley, Daughter-in-law). Stephanie had a deep love for her pets, Frizz, Boo, Roxy, Mr Peaches, BK, & Bubbles who miss her deeply. Stephanie is also survived by Sisters, Jeanette Beardsley (Stan Beardsley Brother-in-law) & Becky Russell (Michael Russell Brother-in-law), 7 Grandchildren, 2 Nephews, 3 Nieces, 3 Uncles, 4 Aunts, 11 cousins, 5 Great Nieces & Great Nephews and many other Family & Friends who will miss her deeply.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 10th from 3:00PM to 6:00PM at the Porterville Fair Grounds, Bldg. B.
