SAN DIEGO Three missing after fishing boat fire off Baja California

Mexican authoritie­s have taken over a search for three people missing in the Pacific off Baja California after a fishing boat caught fire over the weekend.

The U.S. Coast Guard says 15 people were pulled from the water by the crew of San Diego-based charter fishing boat Time Machine, which happened to be near the burning Mexican vessel Saturday night.

The Time Machine's crew called the U.S. Coast Guard, which sent a helicopter, cutter and 45-foot (13.7 meters) boat. Mexican authoritie­s sent two boats.

A Coast Guard statement says two survivors needed urgent medical attention and were flown by helicopter to San Diego.

The 13 remaining survivors aboard the Time Machine were transferre­d to a Mexican vessel and taken to the port city of Ensenada south of Tijuana.

OAKLAND San Diego-to-maui flight diverts to Oakland, lands safely

A Hawaiian Airlines flight from San Diego to Maui diverted to Oakland, California, due to an engine problem and landed safely.

Airline spokesman Alex Dasilva says Flight HA37 departed San Diego Internatio­nal Airport at 8:25 a.m. Monday en route to Kahului Airport when a cockpit light indicated a possible issue with one of the jet's two engines.

Dasilva says that out of an abundance of caution, the pilot diverted the Airbus A321neo to Oakland Internatio­nal Airport and declared an emergency to obtain priority.

The aircraft landed at 10:51 a.m. and the 178 passengers and seven crew members aboard got off the plane. A new departure time is being determined.

LOS ANGELES ‘Wonder Woman’ sequel pushed back to summer 2020

The world will have to wait a little longer for the “Wonder Woman” sequel, which will now arrive in theaters in summer 2020.

Warner Bros. announced Monday that “Wonder Woman 1984” will now open on June 5, 2020. The film starring Gal Gadot as the Amazonian superhero had been slated for a November 2019 release.

Patty Jenkins is returning as director and has teased fans with tidbits about the series' time jump to the 1980s.

The first “Wonder Woman” was a major blockbuste­r for Warner Bros.' DC Comics franchise. The film earned more than $800 million globally. The original became the most successful live-action film directed by a woman.
