Linda Roman Olmedo

-

Linda Roman Olmedo, aged 58, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2018. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by family that deeply loved her.

Her husband and daughters had the opportunity and honor to hold her hand until her last, beautiful breath.

Linda was born on September 23, 1960, in Tulare California, the daughter of Frances Martinez and Ramiro Roman, Sr.

She married her love and light, Alex Olmedo, on June 23, 2006

During her life, Linda enjoyed the simple things, like spending time with her grandkids, watching movies with her daughters, and laughing at a campfire on the beach.

She found happiness in simplicity. She would find it in those home-cooked meals by her daughters, that warm and cozy blanket on her feet, lunch dates with her sisters, and those quiet afternoon rides with her husband, Alex. With this, she reminded us to love and cherish the small details of life, to hold those moments close to our hearts and never let go.

More than anything, she loved spending time with her husband, Alex. They travelled everywhere together - Mexico, Hawaii, Vegas, the Coast. She took delight in the garden and fruits Alex grew. But, it was the small gestures that Linda loved: Alex holding her hand; Alex sitting next to her, watching old western movies; Alex hugging her during a gust of wind at Pismo Beach. Each time, Linda smiled and found happiness in each of those moments. By doing so, she showed her family that love glows the brightest with the accumulation of those small and simple pieces of life - the hugs, the embraces, the laughs, the smiles, the kisses.

Linda's family will miss those simple moments that were filled with joy. But, she will forever remain living in the hearts of her family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father, Frances Roman and Ramiro Roman, Sr.; her brother, Ramiro Roman, Jr.; her niece, Michelle Roman; her nephew Carlos Roman; and her daughter, Linda Micaela Dowling.

Linda is survived by her husband, Alex Olmedo; her five children, Jamie Miguel, Danica Camarena, Mikki Dowling, Elizabeth Dowling, and Santiago Camarena; her daughter-in-law, Norma Camarena, and son-inlaw, Christopher Miguel; and six grandchildren: Tasanee Santhavisouk, Kaymara Garcia, Lila Camarena, Maddox Miguel, Lennox Miguel, and the anticipated newborn baby of Elizabeth Dowling. Linda is further survived by her sisters, Angela Roman (Joe Rivera), Rosemarie (Bruce) Clark, and Gloria (Roel) Barrera, 5 nieces, 7 nephews, sisterin-law Mercedes (Ramiro, Jr.) Roman, and a host of other devoted family and friends.

Information regarding memorial, funeral, and burial services will be posted in a later article.
