El­dest son of Valen­tine and Ofe­lia Men­dez passed peace­ful on 10/31/18 in the com­fort of his home with his wife and fam­ily sur­round­ing him. He at­tended St. Frances of Rome, and was grad­u­ate of Lindsay High School and Porter­ville Col­lege.

Frank was a very hard worker from the fields to the pack­ing houses and was the Parts Man­ager for Ford for over 20 years, while there, he re­ceived" Com­men­da­tion of Heroic Valor from the City of Porter­ville for the res­cue of 4 chil­dren from a homi­cide in progress. He was an em­ployee for the State of Cal­i­for­nia work­ing at Porter­ville Devel­op­men­tal Cen­ter. He was a vol­un­teer for St. Ann's Catholic School for many things, Cross­ing Guard was what he en­joyed most. He was an avid reader, loved Lowrid­ing, the Raiders and yes a Red Sock fan and Norte Dame all the way, and Western movies.

He was pre­ceded by his Par­ents Valen­tine and Ofe­lia Men­dez, two broth­ers, En­rique and Mark.

Frank is sur­vived by the LOVE of his life Anna V. Men­dez and all his chil­dren Francine Men­dez, Frankie J. Men­dez, Irene Men­dez, Frankie Mur­guia, Steven Men­dez and Va­leri "Peaches" Men­dez. 17 grand­chil­dren and 4 great grand­chil­dren. Brother Vic­tor, and Sis­ters Terry, Marti, Mary He­len, and Stella. His in law, Mother in Law Car­men Perez, Sis­ter in Laws, Car­men Villa, Mary Villa, Olga White, and Brother in laws, Jaime and Michael Villa.

A Catholic Mass at St.ann's will be held on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12, 2018 at 11:00a.m. A cel­e­bra­tion of life will fol­low at Dil­lon Hall across the street from St. Ann's Church.
