Cleone (Cleo) Thompson

Cleone (Cleo) Thompson passed away from End Stage Demention on November 13, 2018 at AAA Kindness Care Home, Santa Maria, CA. Cleo was 86.

Cleo was born January 6, 1932 to Gerald and Mayme Raschein in Prairie Du Sac, WI. She was the 3rd oldest of 10 children.

She grew up in rural Wisconsin on a farm. Her family had a chicken hatchery and an Allis Chalmers Tractor Dealership Cleo attended the Stone School through the 8th grade. She often spoke of iceskating, playing in the snow making snow angels, and walking to school in the deep snow.

In 1950 she married John (Gene) Thompson. They enjoyed 67+ years of marriage. and had 4 children, Gerald, Billieanne, Roberta, and Louie.

They moved from Wisconsin to Santa Ana, CA in 1952. Gene was stationed there while serving in the Marine Corp.

Gene and Cleo had several businesses over the years. Service Stations, restaurants, Janitorial, and many rentals. They worked hard together and enjoyed every minute of it. In their later years they enjoyed traveling. They toured much of the USA and several foreign countries.

As an adult Cleo attended Delta College in Stockton, CA. She received her AA and was on the Deans List. She also attended Porterville College and studied in Child Development.

Cleo is survived by her 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandkids, and 4 siblings.
