The Tule River Historical Museum is open to the public from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays with no admission charge. The museum houses a collection of vintage lumber mill and farm equipment. Antiques from local families are on display in the 1860 Murphy House and in the main museum. FRIDAY
Lindsay Night Market has started for the 2018 season, and will continue through the fall. The market is held each Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Lindsay. It features food, vendors and other activities.
Main Street concert
series is held each Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Centennial Park across from City Hall. The concerts, which feature local talent, are free. Attendees are advised to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
First Christian Church
holds Breaking of the Bread women’s ministry every Friday night at 5:30 p.m. The breaking of bread celebration includes potlucks, worship, craft projects and fellowship. These meetings take place at First Christian Church located at 1020 N. Prospect Street. For more information, call 784-1975.

Veterans Benefit
Breakfast is from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on the first Sunday of every month at the Porterville Elks Lodge on the corner of Morton and Main. Public is welcome. For more information, call 784-1342.

Friday Speaker Meeting. Gary Lindquist DVM - Wildlife Photography. Join us for a wonderful photographic presentation by award winning local photographer, Gary Lindquist. Gary is a retired Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, an expert birder and very knowledgeable about interesting aspects of bird and animal behavior. Join us for this fun evening with one of our most accomplished and entertaining presenters. Meeting is at 7 pm at Tulare County Board of Supervisors Administration Building at 2800 W Burrel in Visalia. No host dinner at Marie Callender’s at 5:15 pm where you can usually meet the speaker.

Pink Heals Tulare County Bunco Fundraiser. Pink Heals Tulare County will be having a Bunco & Boutique Fundraiser on Friday, November 16th at the First Congregational Church at 165 Mill, Porterville. Doors will open at 5pm with lots of vendors who will have merchandise for sale. Games to start at 6:30. Cost is $15. Door prizes and opportunity drawings with lots more. Proceeds will benefit Pink Heals Tulare County. We are about keeping it local; supporting those in our own backyard. PHTCC is in the process of raising funds to paint the new addition to our fleet, a police car,
donated from Exeter Police Department.

Coming to America. Ela Pandya will share her experiences of moving from India. The talk will take place in the Historical Room in the Public Library from 10:30 to 12:00, February 9.

A Night Of Salsa. The University of California San Francisco - Alzheimer and Memory Center and the Porterville Valley Adult Day Services is proud to introduce a fresh and innovative event “A Night Of Salsa” where we are mixing salsa lessons with a dementia seminar and resource fair for the Hispanic population.
