Aniceto Prado Gutierrez, 96 passed away on November 20th 2018 surrounded in love with his family at his side.

His life began in Villa Jimenez, Michoacan, Mexico where he was born on April 17, 1922. There he grew and became an avid soccer player and a bread maker (panadero). He came to the United States in 1941 where he worked in the infamous Bracero Program here in California and other states. After starting a family he cultivated and harvested most crops in California where his children acquired invaluable work ethics. In 1964 they settled in Portervill­e where they grew with many hard working families that became long life friends.

He and his wife Rosa Cruz Garcia were the founders of El Tapatio Restaurant along with eldest son George Gutierrez which has been a success since 1979.

His children include Maria Sandoval, Lilia Alvarez, George, Eduardo, Sergio, Fernando, Rosendo, Gilberto, Rosa Vasquez and Eugenia Salcido. He has 24 grandchild­ren, 32 great grandchild­ren, 7 great great grandchild­ren, many nieces, nephews, friends and families that will miss him dearly.

Services will be at Portervill­e Funeral & Cremation with visitation on Sunday December 2nd 4-6pm Rosary will be at 6:00. Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday December 3, 2018 at St. Annes Catholic Church following Interment at Portervill­e Cemetery a reception will be at Portervill­e Memorial Building.
