Julian Vasquez
Julian Vasquez, 82 years old, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2018 in Porterville, Ca. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on February 14 th , 1936.
Julian was a retired employee of the Porterville Developmental Center. He was the Commissioner of the Central Valley Sunday Baseball league as well as manager of the Tall Man Chargers baseball team.
He enjoyed watching professional baseball, but he found the greatest joy watching family baseball games.
Julian loved his family dearly and he never passed up an opportunity to share stories of his life with his grandchildren; those stories will be forever cherished. A heart of gold was the perfect description of Julian as there was never any favor too small that he would not fulfill for his loved ones; family meant the world to him. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather.
Julian is survived by his wife Irma Vasquez, his sister Yolanda Barrientes, Brother Lupe Vasquez, and his 7 children- Joe Vasquez (Susie) of Sacramento, Ca, the only daughter Minnie Garcia (Mario) of Porterville, Ca, Harvey Vasquez (Joanne) of Porterville, Ca, Julian Vasquez Jr. (Yoli) of Porterville, Ca, Jaime Vasquez of Porterville, Ca, Jesse Vasquez (Lisa) of Porterville, Ca, Jimmy Vasquez (Mirna) of Houston, Texas, 22 grandkids, and many great grandchildren. His presence and keen sense of humor will be missed but never forgotten.
