Marauders rout Grizzlies
Sophomore Ruby Fiori recorded a hat trick in the Monache High School girls soccer team’s 12-0 blanking of Granite Hills Tuesday at home in a non-league match.
Along with Fiori’s three goals, Alexa Baez and Rachel Clement scored two goals apiece while Gabriela Vasquez, Evelyn Caballero, Adriana Martinez, Jiselle Batres and Zoe Rios each scored a goal. Strathmore 2 Orange Cove 0
Strathmore High School girls soccer shut out Orange Cove 2-0 for a non-league road win Tuesday.
Bella Baez scored both goals for the Spartans.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Strathmore 59 Parlier 50
Strathmore High School boys basketball defeated Parlier 59-50 on the road Monday in a non-league game.
William Reece led the team with 14 points and had three 3-pointers. Miguel Samano finished with 13 points and Josue Topete had 11. Kyle Oliveira, John Leal and Owen Patterson each had six points as well.
“We picked up a solid road win tonight,” SHS head coach Justin St. Clair said. “Our energy and tempo was better in the second half. We struggled offensively

Porterville High School boys basketball picked up their second-straight win of the season with a 4840 victory at Redwood in Monday’s non-league road game.
Colton Boyd, Kaden Ramage and Gabriel Surita led the Panthers with eight point apiece while Parker Jones and CJ Fish finished with seven points each.
Porterville High School girls basketball defeated Redwood 4733 at home in Monday’s non-league game to start the season 3-0.
Jazlynne Medrano and Jewelia Maniss led the team with 13 points followed by Madison Johnson with 11.
About the game, PHS head coach Dave Kavern said, “Sloppy game, we had a lot of unforced turnovers and made poor decisions on offense.”
The Panthers next game is Tuesday, Dec. 4, at home against El Diamante. They will also participate in the three-game, three-day tournament at Strathmore High School next week.
