Dennis S. Rania

Dennis S. Rania passed away in Bakersfield, CA on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. He was born in Gilroy, CA and lived in San Juan Bautista, CA since birth and moved to Porterville, CA in 1985. He was 69 years old.

Dennis was a member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy Reservation of Montana and Army Vietnam Veteran 101st Airborne Screaming Eagle.

He was married to Rose Rania for 50 yrs. They have 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. They also have 2 son-in-law’s. He is survived by his wife Rose; daughters, Barbara Rodriguez from Casa Grande, AZ and Veronica Mancera from Porterville; son, Richard Rania from Porterville; grandchildren, Naomi Picardel, Alex Rodriguez, RJ Lorta, Samantha Rania, Andrea Rania, Jaysen Rania, Celeste Lorta, Kamiah Rania, Analiah Lorta, Izabella, Rania, Cienna Mancera; 8 great grandchildren, Lilly Rodriguez, Marcelino Rania, Hosanna Rodriguez; son-in-law’s, Anthony Rodriguez and Ricardo Mancera; brothers, Thomas Moscoso, Terry Moscoso and Paul Rania; sisters, Lenore Fleisher and Marcelina Sumii; brother-in-law, Bob Sumii, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, step-grandchildren, uncles and one aunt.

Pops was a great dancer and loved to watch the news every day at 4:00 PM. He was all in all a very wonderful, very loved by everyone, husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, father-in-law grandpa and papa. He will be missed so much and forever be in our hearts.
