Victor Astorga of Poplar won the 2019 World Ag Expo Toyota Tundra Giveaway. The giveaway benefits Valley Children’s Healthcare of Madera, CA.

Astorga, a five-year attendee of World Ag Expo, bought five tickets for $20 on Wednesday of this year’s event at the Toyota booth. He gave two tickets to his cousin and kept three for himself.

“I buy tickets every year just to donate. I was really surprised when my name was called,” said Astorga, who picked up his 2019 Toyota Tundra four-door Crew Max in Magnetic Gray Metallic from Visalia Toyota on Sunday.

“We are proud to partner with Toyota to make this giveaway possible for our attendees,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-center CEO. “The Guilds of Valley Children’s Healthcare do a phenomenal job of raising funds through ticket sales. They are a joy to work with every year and we take pride in supporting a great cause.”

The annual giveaway is a partnership of World Ag Expo and Toyota, with the Guilds of Valley Children’s Healthcare selling tickets to benefit the hospital. This year’s ticket sales total has yet to be announced, but it is looking to surpass the 2018 total — a record year at $80,000.

“It is truly an honor for the Guilds to partner with World Ag Expo and be the beneficiaries of the Toyota Tundra giveaway. All proceeds go directly to the hospital and benefit the patients and families of Valley Children’s,” shared Sandy Cetti, Guild Manager. “This fundraising event is a true gift of love as our Guild members give their time and energy.”

The annual drawing is held at the Toyota booth at 3 p.m. on the Thursday of World Ag Expo. Tickets for the 2020 giveaway go on sale starting Fall 2019.
