To the Porterville Fair Board and to all those who purchased animals to make sure all 214 animals of youth exhibitors were sold for the Porterville Fair’s Save Our Sale and Bid For The Kid event.
To Porterville Military Academy cadet Roberto Lozano, a seventh grader, for placing second in the State Individual Major Awards competition in the First Year Cadet/junior High category.
To Porterville Adult School and William R. Buckley School sixth grade teacher Shawny Bledsaw who has received Awards of Excellence in 2019 and 2020 from the California Council for Adult Education.
To Brandon Rose who has signed a letter of intent to play football at Montana State-northern.
To Monache graduate Kandie Overgaag and Westerlay Orchids for there more than 100,000 orchids challenge in which they’ve been donating orchids to hospital staff all over the state. On Tuesday, Westerlay donated more than 1,000 orchids to staff at Sierra View Medical Center.
To Porterville High School’s Lynlee Davis, who has been accepted to the Air Force Academy.
To Patricia Torres for organizing the Essential Workers Parade throughout the community to honor the community’s essential workers and to all those who participated.
