Six new deaths in county

Recoveries continue to rise

The Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency reported on Wednesday that there have now been a total of 14,442 COVID-19 cases in Tulare County, an increase of 137 cases over the previous day. The number of recoveries in the county is now at 13,505.

There are now 697 people in Tulare County who have active cases of COVID-19, an increase of 120 over Tuesday’s report.

The department reported six new deaths due, bringing the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Tulare County to 240. The state model projects Tulare County to have 272 deaths by October 1.

The department did report a minor increase in COVID-19 hospitaliz­ations in Tulare County, bringing the number of hospitaliz­ations to 50.

There are 595 confirmed COVID-19 nursing home cases in Tulare County.

There have been 2,281 cases in the Portervill­e area, 148 cases in Terra Bella, 191 cases in Strathmore, 611 cases in Lindsay, 40 cases in foothill-mountain communitie­s, 130 cases in Richgrove, 28 cases in Alpaugh, 268 cases in Pixley, 85 cases in Tipton, 2,213 cases in Tulare, 1,637 cases in Dinuba, 415 cases in Farmersvil­le, 285 cases in Exeter, 254 cases in Woodlake, 292 cases in Cutler, 543 cases in Orosi, 40 cases in Goshen, 77 cases in Traver, 596 cases in Earlimart, 151 cases in Ivanhoe, 14 cases in the Reedley area, 11 cases in Corcoran and 11 cases in Orange Cove.

In Visalia there have been 1,823 cases in one region, 1,005 cases in another region and 1,168 cases in a third region.

There have been 68 cases reported as travel-related, 4,649 cases due to person-to-person contact and 9,725 cases are under investigat­ion.

There have been 1,969 cases ages 0-17, 2,288 cases ages 18-25, 4,167 cases ages 2640, 4,495 cases ages 41-64 and 1,515 cases ages 65 and older.

There have been 8,017 cases who have been Hispanic, 1,357 have been Caucasian, 236 have been Asian, 55 have been African-American, 29 have been Native American, 265 have been multi-race and 4,483 are unknown.

There are 482 people in Tulare County who are under self-quarantine being monitored by public health officials.
