PAA holding free art demonstrations
Porterville Art Association is hosting free art demonstrations for the community in October, beginning on Thursday.
The art demonstrations will be held at the Porterville Art Association building at 151 N. Main. The Porterville Art Association is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. While it’s still warm the community will have an outlet to air conditioning while enjoying the art demonstrations.
The public is invited to observe, ask questions and learn skills at the demonstrations, which will be held in a fun-friendly environment. Parking is available in the front and rear of the building.
Everyone in attendance must wear a face covering and social distancing of at least six feet will be implemented. The schedule is as follows:
October 1 — Pam Bourne, 1-4 pencil drawing; October 2 — Che Hinojosa, 10-1 acrylic painting; October 3 — Peggy Woods, 10-1 greeting card making; October 3 — Kellie Wentworth, 1-4 Marker Art; October 7 — Diana Mitchell, 10-4 alcohol art; October 7 — Jonell Mauck, 1-4 pencil drawing; October 10 — Peggy Woods, 10-1 greeting card making.
October 10 – Che Hinojosa, 1-4 arts and crafts; October 14 — Diana Mitchell, 10-1 pencil drawing; October 14 — Joan/becki, 1-4 mixed media fabric art; October 15 — Bette Huarte, 1-4 button art; Ocotber 16 – Melody Gillespie, 10-1 acrylic art; October 17 — Peggy Woods, 10-1 greeting card making; October 21 — Joan/becki, 1-4 mixed media fabric art; October 22 – Pam Bourne, 1-4 pencil drawing.
October 23 – Linda Hengst, 10-1 watercolor painting; October 24 — Joy Harvey, 10 a.m. Chinese brush painting; October 30 — Melody Gillespie, 10-1 acrylic art painting.
