Armando Lopez

-

It is with wonderful expectation through faith that we announce that Armando Lopez, our beloved brother and uncle, has been called to stand with the Almighty.

Mr. Armando Lopez was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was born on May 15, 1969, to Joe Antonio Lopez and Ernestina Lopez of San Juan, Texas. Armando had two siblings, Johnny Joe Lopez and Maria Lopez (Jose Rodriguez). His pride and joy was his niece, Crissy Lopez.

Armando has touched the lives of many and leaves a legacy as an educator of Woodville Union School District for more than 25 years. He devoted his life to serving students to ensure their academic success no matter their circumstances. He made an incredible impact in the community and will always be remembered as an advocate of youth.

What brought joy to Armando was hearing about the success of his former students. He served as a leader and mentor to all and his presence will be deeply missed. He had a passion for helping others and opened his home as a safe haven for students from the Woodville community. Kids from all over would come to socialize and exercise using his personal gym, which quickly became known as “The Lord’s Gym.” Even in his downtime, Armando focused his life on students. He enjoyed coaching and officiating during his free time.

More than anything, Armando loved spending his time with his family - taking trips, watching sports, and most importantly serving the Lord.

The service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. at the Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center, 765 W Henderson Ave in Porterville. The interment will be at the Woodville Cemetery located at 17203 Ave 168 on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m
