Christmas message from the heart

Dear Editor, Porterville Recorder, Thank you in advance for allowing me once again to share a seasonal message from my heart.

My gift to your readers this year. I think we would all agree that this has been a year to remember. A year that has taught most Americans a powerful lesson. That lesson being to never take life or anything in this life for granted! It has taught many of us that simply going to church and singing in the choir doesn’t always bring peace in troubled times as we have experienced this past year and are still living with the pain of it all.

It’s amazing how much you can learn about another individual standing six feet apart in the long lines at different places of business in town! Actually, it’s been an excellent place to share my faith! Faith? you may ask. Oh! Yes! My friend, that has been my gift to share.

My Bible tells me that faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen! I have to add here. Praise the Lord that is something that covet or the powers that be can’t destroy or quarantine! Wow! What a gift! And it’s free my friend! And with that God given faith comes all the fringe benefits of love, joy, peace, long suffering in hard times.

Those are just a few of the many gifts that Jesus is offering to all of us. All we have to do is accept it! I’m totally ready, aren’t you? Our days on this earth, though few they may be, don’t have to be filled with fear, doubt and distrust of everyone we once respected. No, we can have the peace of God that passes all earthly understanding. That’s God’s gift to all of us this Christmas and always!god bless you all is my prayers!

Thank you to our Angels (Editor’s note: The following letter refers to a traffic collision that occurred in Corcoran)

Our family would like to send out a special “Thank You” to our Angels who stopped to help us on that tragic night. We did not get your names but you know who you are.

If it weren’t for your selfless act of kindness we might not be here today. We want to express our utmost gratitude to you: we thought you’d like to know that we all survived the accident. The 10-year-ld in the back seat incurred horrific injuries, but by the grace of God and Angels like you she’s out of the hospital and on the road to recovery.

Angels like you are truly a Blessing and we shall never forget the kindness you showed toward our family. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and lots of blessings.
