William Shannon Alto

William Shannon Alto, Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on December 14, 2020.

Shannon was a long time resident of Porterville, Ca. and a member of the Tule River Yokuts Tribe.

jr. Alto graduated from Porterville High School, Class of 1969.

He is a U.S Army Veteran 1970-1973 and was stationed mostly in Europe. A Porterville College alumni, Shannon went on to work for the U.S. Forest Services where he worked in fire management for 29 years. Shannon had many hobbies, he enjoyed fishing, painting, cooking, music, going to the beach, riding his motorcycle, spending time at the casino, watching live music, genealogy, gardening, attending his nieces and nephews sporting events and hanging out with his dogs "the wolfpack".

He is survived by Wife Christine, Son Damron, Daughter Crystal Ortega, along with Grand and Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews he was all very proud of.

A viewing will be held at Porterville Funeral and Cremation, Sunday, December 28, 2020, 11am-5pm Rosary 3pmBurial jonday, December 28, 2020 11am Lower Cemetery,tule River Reservation.
