Over 5,000 vaccinated in county

Deaths continue to rise

The Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency released their usual report on the statistics for COVID-19 cases in the county, and on Wednesday an additional eight deaths were added to the death toll. But county officials have added a new feature to their COVID-19 tracker website allowing county residents to see how many people have received the new COVID-19 vaccine in Tulare County.

Since March 11 there have been 39,347 cases in Tulare County. That’s an increase of 438 over Tuesday’s report.

Of the 39,347 total cases confirmed in the county since March 11, 68 cases have been from travel, 10,429 cases have been from person to person, and 28,850 cases are still of unknown sources.

There are now 306 people under selfquaran­tine and being monitored by Tulare County public health officials.

A total of eight new deaths were reported on Wednesday. The total of deaths in Tulare County due to COVID-19 is now at 482.

There are now 5,346 people in Tulare County who actively have cases of COVID-19.

The number of recoveries remained the same on Wednesday. There are currently 33,089 people who have recovered after testing positive for COVID-19 in Tulare County.

With COVID-19 vaccines becoming more available to the public, county officials have begun reporting on the number of vaccinatio­ns already received by people living in the county. As of Wednesday, 5,388 people have received the vaccine so far.

Since March 11 there have been 7,705 cases in the Portervill­e area, 97 cases in Springvill­e, 34 cases in foothill-mountain communitie­s, 542 cases in Terra Bella, 523 cases in Strathmore, 1,476 cases in Lindsay, 6,995 cases in Tulare, 3,469 cases in Dinuba, 245 cases in Richgrove, 64 cases in Alpaugh, 642

cases in Pixley, 285 cases in Tipton, 1,201 cases in Earlimart, 967 cases in Farmersvil­le, 854 cases in Exeter, 41 cases in Three Rivers, 702 cases in Woodlake, 77 cases in Goshen, 202 cases in Traver, 47 cases in the Reedley area, 17 cases in Orange Cove, 625 case in Cutler, 1,167 cases in Orosi and 409 cases in Ivanhoe.

In Visalia there have been 4,339 cases in one region, 2,834 cases in another region and 3,419 cases in a third region.

There have been 5,693 cases ages 0-17, 6,207 cases ages 18-25, 11,190 cases ages 26-40, 12,175 cases ages 41-64 and 4,063 cases ages 65 and older.

There have been 21,554 cases who have been Hispanic, 5,149 have been Caucasian, 767 have been Asian, 260 have been African American, 231 have been Native American, 1,251 have been multi-race and 9,865 are unknown.
