Ama Lupe Avalos

-

Ama Lupe Avalos of Porterville, Ca was called home to be with our Lord on January 18th, 2021.

Lupe's journey began on September 30th, 1960 in Porterville, Ca where she was born to Tillie Hernandez-olmos and Guadalupe Olmos. She was raised closely with her four brothers: Thomas, Richard, Christopher and Adrian and her five sisters: Mary Magdalene, Christina, Tillie, Rebecca and her baby sister, Juanita.

Lupe was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt , Catholic and friend to all who knew her. She is deeply missed and will be forever cherished by those who love her, firstly, including her children: Valerie Hernandez, Rosa Avalos, Angelica St. Germain, Anthony Avalos all of Porterville, Ca and Ramon Avalos Jr of San Diego, Ca. She also leaves sunshine on her many grandchildren: Hope Banuelos, Breseida Banuelos, Izaac Banuelos, Kiana Johnson, Jada Johnson, Jazmin Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Roman St Germain, Peyton St Germain, Madalyn St Germain and Manuel Moreno and great grandchildren: Alexis Enriquez, Allie Enriquez, Avery Enriquez, Alexander Enriquez, Kian Banuelos and one on the way whom she will see from heaven.

As a young woman, Lupe attended Monache High School then went on to earn a degree from SJVC in the medical billing field. Later in life, Lupe became a fulltime grandmother and devoted her time to looking after the children of the family such as her close nephew, Leo Cuellar, who adored her. The children loved their "Ama" and all she did for them. Lupe loved listening to her oldies, raising beautiful house plants, long talks with her best friend and sister, Juanita, and loving on her "babies". Lupe enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air surrounded by family, wearing her Ray Bans with a smile... and this is how she will be remembered. Although she has been set free, she will forever be locked into our hearts. We love you, Lupe.
