Craig S. Balatico Sr.
Craig S. Balatico Sr., age 54, made his way to Heaven on March 7, 2021 in Porterville, CA.
He was born on April 28, 1966 to Romualdo Coloma Balatico and Carlina Salvador Balatico in Gabu Sur, Laoag City Philippines where he attended Gabu Elementary School and Gabu National High School.
As a young adult, he worked as a Jeepney Driver which is where he developed a profound expertise for both driving and mechanics. On March 14, 1987, he married Felictias Rosqueta. One year later, he moved to the United States and welcomed his first born child, Craig Scott Balatico Jr.
Most people will remember him as a Tire Serviceman from Porterville Tire; however, he dedicated 25 years of his life to Wal-mart Distribution Center where he lived up to the title of a “Top Dog” as an efficient Yard Driver. He took great pride in being a Wal-mart Yard Driver, and it was evident in his enthusiasm to always work hard.
Everyone knew him as a hardworking, outgoing, and generous man. He loved fishing, going on trips, and spending time with his family. From beach trips and reunions to family gatherings and celebrations, he was always the life of the party. He would make it a point to help absolutely anyone in need even if it were a complete stranger. Though we have lost such an irreplaceable being on this earth, his legacy will live on forever through all the lives he has touched.
He is survived by his wife, Felictias Rosqueta Balatico, his sister, Mercy Alcon, one son, Craig Scott Balatico Jr., two daughters, Carlie Marie Balatico and Cassie Maria Balatico, and two granddaughters, Aria Shay Balatico, Averi Reese Balatico along with many nieces and nephews, sibling in-laws, and grandchildren.
A limited space, social distancing Rosary will be held at Myers Reception Hall on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 6:00 PM. The Graveside Service will take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 11:00AM.
