To the Porterville Unified School District and all those responsible for the Law, Justice and Ethics Center at Granite Hills High School for LJE Pathways students. The grand opening for the center was held on Wednesday.
The Central California Family Crisis Center and to all those who provided support in the establishment of the expanded Treasures Thrift Shop that benefits CCFCC. The thrift shop also had its grand opening on Wednesday.
To Summit Charter Intermediate Academy student Axel “El Capi” Sanchez. The 10-yearold finished second in the U.S. Youth Soccer’s inaugural Keeper Wars National Championship.
To the following Porterville Police Officers who received promotions: Sergeant Bruce Sokoloff, who was promoted to lieutenant; and Officer Enrique Lara and Officer Orlando Ruiz, who were promoted to sergeant.
To the following who have been sworn in as new deputies for the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office: Michael O’neill, David Salazar, Diego Ramos and Nicolas Gonzalez.
To the local Dixie Project for all they’re doing to support those affected by the Dixie Fire. Also to American Legion Post 20, American Legion Auxiliary and American Legion Riders Chapter
