To Cathy Capone of the Tule River Parkway Associatio­n and the Associatio­n, William “Beau” Keen of Quercus Landscape Design, cadet students from Strathmore and Burton Elementary and Middle Schools and all the volunteers for all the work they have done at the Tule River Parkway Trail Gardens.

To the following Volunteers in Patrol who were honored by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office: Richard Bean, 20-year plaque; Brian Colegrove, 5-year plaque; Grace Jepson, 5-year plaque and 1,000 hour certificat­e; Glen Sloan, 1-year pin.

To Tulare County Fire Department Lieutenant Robb Hubbard on his retirment after 34 years of service to the department.

To Josh Wheeler, the grandson of Stan and Dorothy Stark of Terra Bella, for winning a silver medal for the USA Wheelchair Rugby team at the Tokyo Paralymics. Wheeler also won a silver medal with USA Wheelchair Rugby in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

To the Tule River Indian Housing Authority and Self-help Enterprise­s for the grand opening of the 40-unit affordable housing Nupchi Xo’ Oy developmen­t.

To Steve Schultz of Terra Bella for his memorial of 13 crosses with the American flag to honor the 13 military members who were killed
