Debbie Facio passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 28th, 2021, at Sierra View Hospital, Porterville, Ca., she was 65 years old. She is preceded in death by her parents Leslie Jones, Barbara Eggman-jones, and her brother Steven Jones.

Debbie was born in Porterville and relocated with her family as a young child to Castro Valley, Ca. where she spent a good part of her childhood. She was the oldest of six children which made her a natural caregiver to others thru out her life. Debbie returned to Porterville as a young adult where she completed her education. Debbie had a love for writing and went on to publish several spiritual poetry books. She also complied a book of cherished letters about the life of our grandmother, Judith Eggman lovingly referred to as Mom Judy.

Debbie spent a good part of her younger years working in a variety of jobs to include ownership of two video stores in Porterville and Bakersfield, Ca. She later began a direct sales business marketing a wide variety of agricultural products including the family Honey sold directly to consumers at Farmers Markets. She operated in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as several Central Coast communities. Debbie served on several Farmers Market Board of Directors where she worked with local government officials to establish new Farmers Market locations in the City of Oakland and San Leandro, Ca.

For the last 20 years Debbie co-owned a family commercial Bee business in partnership with her brother David based in Ducor, California where she resided with her husband. They provided their pollination services to Valley Growers as well as marketing the honey production. Debbie was the official nueen Bee in our family.

Debbie’s greatest joy was when she was in the kitchen cooking for others. Every holiday, birthday and family event, her exceptional cooking was always featured . She would always take charge of the planning and cooking with a love for preparing new recipes and deserts. Her passion for cooking and baking was a family trait she inherited from her mom and grandmother. As a member of the First Christian Church she served in Women’s Ministries, where “she provided inspiration to her fellow members” shared her pastor. Debbie always came with a plan for making crafts and baked goods for the many fundraisers she chaired. The group organized swap meets, yard sales and fall bazars with proceeds donated to local food banks , homeless outreach as well as fire victims and Midwest flood victims in past years.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband Richard Facio whom she had known since high school. She leaves behind her siblings, David Jones of Porterville, Ca, Fred (Debbie) Jones, of Terra Bella Ca., Sandy (David) Heuer of Castro Valley , Ca, and Michelle (Jim) Rumsey of Pleasanton, Ca. as well as her stepchildren, Emidio, Raymond, Orlando, and Gabriella. Debbie has more cousins, nieces and nephews than can be listed and she loved them with all her heart. Although she had no children of her own, she cherished the years she spent raising her great niece and nephew, Crystal and Lenny Ignacio with her late husband Albert Ignacio. She will forever be loved and missed.
