Mary (Savala) Broombaugh Feb. 22, 1929 - Apr. 08, 2022
Mary (Savala) Broombaugh, age 93 years old, daughter of the late, Ysidro (Frank) and Martha Savala of Porterville, CA, died on Friday, April 08, 2022, at 10:00 PM, in Porterville, CA.
She is proceeded in death by her late husband, who died on March 02, 2016, Claude John Broombaugh. And late son, who died on January 31, 1993, Claude Raymond Broombaugh, at the age of 24 years old. Also, known as Raymond (Ray) Broombaugh.
Mary is survived by her 2 adult children and their spouses. Don and Ronda Broombaugh of Grover Beach, CA. Daughter, Shirley and (James) Jim Bray of Porterville, CA.
Mary has a total of 9 grandchildren and 8 of them have spouses. Also, 17 Great Grandchildren. NO Great-great-grandchildren at this time. She has several nieces, nephews, Great-nieces and nephews, and Great-great nieces and nephews.
Mary attended Vine Street Elementary School, Barlett Jr. High School, and some of Porterville High School, all in Porterville, CA.

were members of Saint
Anne's Catholic Church in Porterville, CA. Also, Mary's father Ysidro (Frank) Savala, served in World War I
At a young age, Mary attended school half a
day and worked in the fields half a day. This was during the Great World War II. Because there was a shortage of men to work during the war.
She also worked for John and Norma Reyna at their Turkey Plant in Porterville, CA. Later, she worked for the Howell's Family at the movie theaters in Porterville, CA. Also, she worked in Sunnyvale, CA at different Canneries.
When Mary lived in Sacramento, CA, she owned a small Daycare for young children. Mary moved back to Porterville sometime in 1964 and became a special needs adult Care Provider in her home. Also, later Mary was a Nurse's Aide at Villa Manor, owned by the Thompsons Family. Then later at the Mountain View Rest Home, owned by Joyce Fowler in Porterville, CA.
Mary took care of her elderly parents, Martha who passed in July 1978, and her father Ysidro (Frank) Savala, who passed October of 1984.
Mary also, baby sat some of her Grandchildred
for her children while they worked.
She took care of them in her home.
When Claude John Broombaugh became ill, Mary took care of him in the home as long as she could. Claude was a veteran of World War II and Korena War.
Mary has always been a very dedicated hardworking woman in her life. She was always proud of her family and families.
Mary will be truly missed by all who knew her and her beloved family.
Mary is proceeded in death also, by her 2 brothers, Joe and Kay, and Tony and Clara Savala both Sr.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022, from 4-6 PM at Myer's Funeral Home in Porterville, CA.
And the Rosary will be at 6-7pm on Tuesday, May 17th, 2022, at Myer's Funeral Chapel in Porterville, CA.
The Mass Service will be Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, at 11am, at Saint Anne's Catholic Church, on F Street in Porterville, CA. The burial will take place in Arvin, CA, at the National Cemetery, near 2pm on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022.
