For years, Americans haven’t heard the rain

-

Thank you for this opportunity to share a few thoughts with your readers. I heard a song the other day that made me stop and think about how much it related to the mindset of our country at this time. American’s, as a whole, have taken their blessings. rights and privileges for granted.

As a result of this we stand to lose them. In the song lyrics that I made reference to earlier, the singer told a story. It seems his father had passed away and he was trying to find an appropriate song to sing at his funeral. As he was contemplating, he began to reminisce about his childhood and the life he had shared with his father. The words of this song came to him.

It’s entitled, “We didn’t know it was raining.” In this song he expressed how, as a child and young adult, looking back, he knew there must have been hard times, storms, lack of bare necessities. No doubt stretching of budgets, skimping, lots, no doubt. BUT, In this song he expresses HE NEVER KNEW! Why? Why didn’t he know all those things as a child? That, my friend is a question I will let you ponder and answer in your own life. Just how, you may ask, does all this apply to our Country’s situation right now? My answer. For years we, as Americans haven’t heard it rain, so to speak! We have walked through our lives and without even thinking, have enjoyed all its blessings, we have taken them all for granted! Now, we are at the threshold of standing at the foot of a Dead Country’s Freedom! Are we gong to stand by and allow this to happen? I say No! we are not. We, as a nation, are going to repent, ask God’s forgiveness and humble ourselves before our Heavenly Father, thanking Him for all His blessings He has bestowed upon us and this Nation. Under God. That, my friend, is what we must do! God bless you.
