Trash everywhere

-

Trash everywhere. The Teapot Dome dump is partially closed and people are expected to travel their loads to Woodville or Visalia. People do not want to spend money to cover their big loads. It costs gas money and dump fees.

Recently it has been brought to my attention by homeless people and observation. People from town and out in the country have been going down to the river and homeless areas and dumping their garbage. Look around! Tell me the last time a homeless person had a washer and dryer on their sides, dumped?

Lots of firecracker trash too — Shame on this town for dumping and trying to make homeless people look bad. Being homeless can happen to any of us. People fall on hard times. They are not all “drug addicts” down there. Getting back on your feet is not easy. These “low income” apartments are a “joke” just like in Fresno where Mayor Dyer announced five hotels were bought and being fixed up to help “the homeless” and “low income.”

He announced that the average rent would be $1,100 a month. I don’t know of anyone low income or homeless, who could afford $1,100 a month. Try “qualifying” for one, after homeless and evictions.

I talked to the “City of Porterville” today. They do not know if we will have any dump. Imagine what our city is going to look like.

Do Not dump more trash down at the river. The police will not get involved if “You see someone doing this illegal act,” as even with pictures unless “they see it.” It’s not their problem.

I had a complaint the other day. The female officer who came out was rude, did not care and “acted” as if I waisted her time.

FYI: Free Dump Day on Prospect on October 15, 2022, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you don’t have a city bill have a neighbor of family to help go dump. Plan ahead and get respect!
