Felipe Anaya a resident of Portervill­e, CA, went to be with the lord on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the age of 69. He was born May 7, 1953 in Michoacán, Mexico to Eliseo and Irene Anaya.

Felipe came to Portervill­e, CA in 1969. He worked in the Agricultur­al Industry for 52 years working for Murray Evans, David Michaelis, Limoniera Company, Sherwood & Sherwood, and DG Stephens. He met the love of his life Andrea Yzaguirre, they married October 4, 1972. Together they had 4 children.

Felipe will always be remembered for being an amazing father, husband, grandfathe­r, great grandfathe­r, father-in-law, uncle, brother, and friend to many. He was someone you could always count on and known for being a very hard worker. He was also well known for being a musician in various Spanish bands.

He enjoyed spending time with his large family, taking his daily walks, having barbecues, gardening, taking care of his animals, and most of all he loved to take drives with his beloved wife to play at the casino. He will be remembered by always taking over the grill and cooking for family events. Felipe was known for always going above and beyond and helping others. His passion was music, his two sons Felipe Jr. and Paul also follow his passion for music. Felipe Sr. was a musician for 30 years. He played the bass guitar, tololoche, 12 string guitar, and the accordion for Los Hermanos Anaya, Los Cinco Palomos, Los Aventurero­s De Juan Pedraza, Los Alegres Del Valle, Conjunto Carisma, Los Tremendos Vagos de Carlos Casas, Norterños Del Valle, Conjunto Estrella and El Groupo Quien. He took great pride in caring and loving his wife and family.

Felipe is survived by his four children Andrea Anaya, Clementina Anaya, Felipe Anaya Jr., and Paul Anaya all from Portervill­e. (10) grandchild­ren Alexa Anaya, Ruben Anaya, Alisha Verdejo, Greg Zachary Gasco, Gemma Gasco, Isabella Anaya, Joanna Villanueva, Adamaris Hernandez , Anthony AJ Anaya, and Arissa Anaya, and (2)great grandchild­ren Anissa and Abraham Manzo. He is also survived by his (12) siblings, Salvador Anaya, Herlindo Anaya, Eliseo Anaya, Anita Rodriguez, José Carmen Anaya, Adela Bravo, Teresa Lopez, Irene Moreno, Nicolas Anaya, Louis Anaya, Ramiro Anaya, and Maria Anaya and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Eliseo Anaya and Irene Escamilla Anaya and his brother David Anaya.

The family would like to honor his memory on Tuesday October 11, 2022 at Portervill­e Funeral and Cremation Center from 2:00 pm 7:00 pm. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:00pm. His mass of Catholic Burial will be held at Holy Cross Church on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 11:00 am followed by an interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park immediatel­y following the service.

He touched many hearts and will be dearly missed. We have all been so blessed to have had him in our lives and his memories will continue to live in our hearts.
