Sharon L. Scarbrough

Sharon L. Scarbrough passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at the age of 75.

Sharon was born February 10, 1947 in Casa Grande, Arizona to Richard E. Kennedy and Alice Kennedy (Todd). She was the only girl in a family of 8 children. She grew up in Red Mountain California, graduated from Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest California.

While working at Superior Farming Company in Bakersfield she met her future husband Steven. They were married in 1978. They had three children Sherri, Amanda and Robert.

Sharon was a member of many community clubs, Terra Bella Women's Club Terra Bella Garden Club, Zonta Club in Porterville she was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Terra Bella where she was active in the LWML, choir and Hugs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Don, Maurice, Eugene, James and Robert Kennedy.

She has survived by her husband Steven, daughters Sherri (Barry) Barber, Amanda (Casey) Bennett and son Robert Scarbrough, Grandchildren Ashley Barber and Wyatt Bennett brothers Charles and Clifford Kennedy and sister-in-law Elsie Kennedy and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

The family would like to think Bristol hospice for their caring hand and allowing her to be home with her family.

Services will be at Zion Lutheran Church Saturday, October 15 at 10 AM with committal immediately following in Zion cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made and Sharon's name to Zion Lutheran Church or Zonta Club of Porterville.

Arrangements are being handled by Myers funeral home.
