Raul Aguilar Loza

Raul Loza entered into eternal rest on November 3rd, 2022 in Porterville, CA at the age of 63.

He passed peacefully at his home in Porterville, CA surrounded by his family.

He was born Raul Aguilar Loza on May 14th, 1959 in San Marcos, Jalisco, Mexico.

Raul grew up 1 of 13 siblings in San Marcos, Jalisco. He would eventually make his way to Porterville, CA searching for better opportunities 20 years later. Upon arrival, Raul worked his way up through various jobs in search of the American dream. He started not knowing any English and had very little education but that would not deter him. He would go on to check off one of his dreams and become an American citizen. It was a great triumph but it wouldn't be his only one. His pursuit to become successful would be his driving force and an eventual reality. Raul started a small business which would eventually become well known throughout Porterville called El Nuevo Mexicali. He started small at the very first location on Main Street alongside his brother. He would then move on to venture on his own at a second location on Henderson. After much success, Raul set out to a third and final location on Prospect street where it stands today. The restaurant was a labor of love for Raul, often times being seen throughout the property by many of the customers who dined throughout the day. He leaves behind a lasting legacy which will be carried on by his children.

Raul was married to Clara Rojas for many years. They welcomed 3 children, Danny Loza, Elizabeth Gonzalez and Devine Rojas. Raul was a caring father and taught his children the meaning of a hard days work. He was a caring grandfather as he had many grandchildren who looked forward to going to grandpa's house.

His rosary will be held at Myers Reception Hall on Thursday, November 17th at 6pm. A Mass service will be held on Friday, November 18th at Holy Cross In Porterville, CA at 11am.
