Vivian Novelle Dupree

-

Vivian Novelle Dupree was born on June 28, 1928, filling the next 94 years with living a full and gracious life. She passed peacefully into the loving arms of her lord and savior on November 20, 2022.

In 1946, at the age of 18 she married the love of her life, Ralph Fleming. They had been married 58 years when he passed away in 2004. She was also predeceased by 1 daughter, Karen Hendrickson, in 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Howard (Eric) of Lewisville, TX, and a son Richard Fleming of Bow, WA, 4 granddaughters, 2 greatgrandsons, and 2 greatgranddaughters.

During the late 60s Vivian drove school bus for approximately 15 years, part of the time for the Anaheim Union High School District, and some for the Crescent Avenue Nazarene Church in Buena Park.

She and Ralph eventually wanted to live in the mountains so moved to the California Hot Springs area where they built their own cabin. The Flemings soon joined the Nazarene Church of Terra Bella, where she became a mainstay of support, serving as a prayer warrior. Vivian had a heart of gold and was most generous with her time in support of the small church. If she knew, or could find out your birthday, she made sure you received a card, complete with a thoughtful note, and often bought with her own money. The family want to thank Sheri Toole for taking such loving care of her friend Vivian.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 10:30 AM at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center, at 765 W. Henderson Ave.
