To the Porterville Unified School District and all those responsible for the development of the Strathmore Technical Agricultural Research, STAR, Center at Strathmore High School.
To all of the various agencies and volunteers who helped with the annual pointin-time survey of those who experience homelessness and to all those for their compassion in providing needed resources for those experience homelessness and to all those at the Porterville Welcome Center for what they do to provide resources for those experiencing homelessness.
To the Burton School District and Summit Collegiate High School and Valley Strong Credit Union for provide its “Bites of Reality” event which allowed seniors at the school to experience what it’s like to make real world financial decisions and to manage finances in the real world.
To all of the youth for putting on an outstanding show in High School Musical at the Lindsay Community Theater and to all those at the theater for making it happen.
To Springville filmmaker Vincient Catalina for his movie Wild Boys that received several honors at the Orlando Film Festival. A free screening of the movie will be held at the Barn Theater at 7:30 p.m. February 18 and it will also be screened at 7:30 p.m. February 17 at the Springville Veterans Memorial Building.
To Lieutenant Kyle Martel, Lieutenant Daniel Sanchez, Dispatcher II Antonia Silveira, to Esteban Infante who was promoted to Lieutenant, Deputy Chief Jeff Mclaughlin, Division Chief Jesse Renteria, Battalion Chief Joe Rosa, Captain Jason Moule, Lieutenant Juan Calderon and Lieutenant Wyat Figueira who were all honored during the Tulare County Fire Department’s recent promotional badge pinning.
